Well,I can’t pretend to get it all….very little, really, but there is definitely something extraordinary going on under these fingers. The tracks that really got to me appeared under Gil Evan’s name on the record “ Into The Hot “ and I remember reading the sleevenotes in which Gil is quoted as saying that “ ..there is so much going on and he is such a wizard that whatever he does bristles will all kinds of possibilities….”
