How’s this for Unhinged ? A manuscript, unearthed in an Algiers library in 1955, and signed Jules V, describes the voyages of the spacecraft “Lafcadio Hearn”.

From its design and construction by maverick samurai sanitation engineer Taku Mihota to its landing on F’Sluge 140, a planet whose culture is exclusively excreta-centric.

The manuscript gave us the outline for a picture book, a space fantasy featuring two undiscovered planets, their flora and fauna, and plumbing. Surefire winner, yes?
