Carl Gustav Jung : There is a certain inevitability in the proximity of Jung and Jodorowsky in a list like this . Both would hold that it is no accident , indeed that there are no accidents , and I love the web of meaningful connections that that mindset can make . Jung’s concept of the unconscious as a world that is just as much a vital and real part of the life of an individual as the conscious world of the ego , yet very much wider and richer , is a deep and expanding inspiration to me. His understandings plug directly into an occult reality as old as mankind itself , revealing things of incalculable worth…..that’s all !
